For those of you in the Edmonton area, or that are in the Energy Services industry, please drop in to the Energy Services Summit at the Shaw Convention Centre on Friday (July 24).  The theme of the summit is "Positioning for the Upturn".  I will be speaking at the Technological Advances Showcase at 11:30 in Salon 5.  The title of my speech is "Why safety managment needs a system:  THE URGENCY ADDICTION".  I will explain why safety professionals are likely to struggle with traditional binder and spreadsheet safety programs, and I will go over a handful of features in modern Safety Management Systems.
